After
Harry Potter and
LOTR breakthrough in both bookstores and cinemas, it has made most people from all walks of life congregated to the book series. And now another obsession has attacked every imagination of readers especially the teenagers...Vampire Obsession. What else? It's Stephenie Meyer's "Twilight" Saga. Recognized by
The New York Times as their
Editor's Choice and
Publisher's Weekly as
The Best Book of the Year. This is PHENOMENAL!
In 2005 Twilight first book was out in the market and it has made a huge impact since then, followed by the other three New Moon 2006, Eclipse 2007, Breaking Dawn 2008. Who else wouldn't know the story? I know even those who criticize it knows about the love story of a regular teenage girl (Bella Swan) and her vampire boyfriend (Edward Cullen)...The question is, How long would it corrupt every adolescent mind?
Well Vampire love stories already existed before. There is
Bram Stroker's "Dracula" and
Anne Rice's "Vampire Chronicles". But it wasn't as big as Twilight. But i can assure You.... if you really want a great deal of vampire stories, try these books. It's more profound and more detailed than Twilight.
Tomorrow November 20 would be the first day of the sequel "New Moon" in cinemas. Wow you have to reserve tickets weeks before to watch it, It's f?c#ing unbelievable! I'm planning to watch it after the freaks are sober,I guess...
Another thing about this shit...is why everybody's going gaga over Edward Cullen? I saw a video in Youtube one time, I think the background beat was created after Kanye West's original "Heartless" (gosh! What are these creeps?) singing uncanny song about Edward Cullen, the song was titled "I wanna be like Edward Cullen". And as far as I can remember the lyrics of the song though I didn't finish it 'cause it freaked me out...It says like they want to be like edward cullen....blah blah blah... Are they Gays? I just don't get it!
But what happened to "Legolas" or "Aragorn" from LOTR who used to be the hearthrob of the scene? Or "Drako" and "Hermione"?. Well Edward Cullen or Robert Pattinson in real life wasn't this big before, He Appeared on Harry Potter Book5 movie as "Cedric Diggory" and He was not as popular as He is right now. According to Media on the present time, the two most popular and most important being in the US are Pres. Barack Obama and Rob Pattinson...whoa... thay are all hypnotized by the vampire. Yeah but I think everybody loves Edward Cullen and not Rob Pattinson.
It's also damn funny because I have seen a lot of books about vampires on numerous book stores...A lot of new collection of vampire love stories, Teenage vampire stories, ect. and a lot of vampire computer games has been created, one is from Facebook and you can choose what kind of vampire you are:
The Primeval- animalistic.definitely not a good looking one, eeew...
The Noble: Someone that looks like Antonio Banderas on "Interview with the Vampire".Sexy!
The Modern Vampire: The Edward Cullen type.
hmmmm...Well to those who hates it or doesn't like the idea of Twilight being too popular, I guess you have to wait until the fourth movie is done and released, maybe Vampire era would be ceased...
I am wondering right now what would be the next BIG THING in Hollywood or in the whole world after "The vampire Saga"? which is presently the new superheroes of our imagination. Let me guess...would it be the
"Wolf" saga? like a passionate and extremely HOT werewolf since the wolf's pack from twilight are really gorgeous and sexy...or a
"Hunky Mummy" imagine a very good looking mummy with a body similar to Jacob's(twilight) have only half of his face bandaged and just the "thing" between his legs. That's Hot! hmmmm...or maybe it would be a modern
"Frankenstein" that would star Justin Timberlake? hehe,i can't imagine. Or would it be
"Zombies" saga...this time zombies should be good looking and looks clean, without the grouse cannibal eating habit they do. Or
"Witches" saga, how about Angelina Jolie as the witch or Johnny Depp(He is voted as the sexiest man alive 2009). Whatever!!! the answer depends on the producers, They are the one responsible for creating all these. Hey I have nothing against "Twilight" I've read the four books and I'll be more excited to see the third book on the screen. Don't hate me Twilight fans.
